Terms of Use / Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 8 October 2026
1. Scope & website use
This website is operated by ROC [INSERT FULL LEGAL/TRADING NAME], referred to throughout these Terms as “ROC”, “we”, “us” or “our”.
The website provides information about ROC and products offered for legitimate laboratory, analytical and scientific research purposes.
You must use this website only for lawful purposes.
You must not misuse the website, attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, interfere with its operation, introduce malicious software, attempt to obtain confidential information without authorisation, or use the website in connection with unlawful activity.
Product availability, specifications, pricing and other website content may be updated from time to time.
2. Research-only intended use
IMPORTANT — RESEARCH USE ONLY
Products identified by ROC as research products are supplied solely for legitimate laboratory, analytical and scientific research.
They are not intended for human or veterinary consumption, administration or injection and are not supplied for the diagnosis, treatment, cure or prevention of any disease or medical condition.
Information provided by ROC does not constitute medical advice, prescribing information, dosage guidance, reconstitution instructions or instructions for human or veterinary use.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that their acquisition, possession, handling, storage and proposed research use of any product complies with all laws, regulations and institutional requirements applicable to them.
A “Research Use Only” designation does not itself determine the regulatory classification of a product.
ROC does not authorise or endorse use contrary to the stated research-only purpose.
3. Product information & COAs
ROC aims to provide accurate product information, including product name, stated quantity/concentration, batch information and other relevant research-product information where applicable.
Where a Certificate of Analysis (COA) is provided, customers should ensure that they refer to the COA corresponding to the relevant product and batch.
COAs and analytical information represent the information applicable to the identified sample or batch and should not be interpreted as medical, clinical or therapeutic information.
Product images may be illustrative. Minor differences in packaging, labelling or presentation may occur between batches provided that the product supplied corresponds with the order description.
If a customer believes that product or batch information supplied with an order is incorrect, they should contact ROC before using the product.
4. Orders & payment
All orders are subject to acceptance and availability.
Prices displayed on the website are shown in GBP (£) unless otherwise stated.
Any applicable delivery charges will be displayed before an order is completed.
Payment must be made using one of the payment methods made available during checkout.
Submission of an order does not necessarily constitute acceptance by ROC. We may decline or cancel an order where reasonably necessary, including where:
- a product is unavailable;
- payment has not been successfully authorised;
- information supplied with an order is materially incorrect;
- we reasonably suspect fraud or unlawful activity; or
- fulfilling the order would cause ROC to breach a legal or regulatory obligation.
Where payment has already been taken for an order that ROC subsequently cannot fulfil, the appropriate amount will be refunded.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that billing, delivery and contact information supplied when ordering is accurate.
5. Shipping
ROC will provide the available delivery options and applicable charges during checkout.
Orders will be dispatched to the delivery address supplied by the customer. Customers are responsible for ensuring that the delivery address is complete and accurate.
Estimated delivery times are estimates rather than guarantees unless ROC expressly agrees otherwise.
Where consumer distance-selling rules apply, goods ordinarily need to be delivered within 30 days unless another delivery period has been agreed.
Customers should inspect packages following delivery and contact ROC promptly if an order appears damaged, incomplete or incorrect.
Where tracking information is available, this may be supplied electronically.
For international orders, the customer is responsible for checking whether the product can lawfully be imported, possessed and used in the destination jurisdiction. Applicable customs charges, duties or taxes will be the customer’s responsibility unless expressly stated otherwise.
See our Shipping Policy for dispatch, delivery areas, delays and losses.
6. Returns & refunds
Nothing in this section affects rights that customers have under applicable consumer law.
If a product arrives damaged, defective, materially different from its description, or an incorrect product has been supplied, contact ROC at [CUSTOMER SERVICE EMAIL] with the order number and appropriate details.
Where required, photographs of the item and packaging may be requested to assist with investigating the issue.
Do not dispose of a disputed product until ROC confirms whether it needs to be retained or returned.
Returns must be appropriately packaged and, where applicable, returned in accordance with instructions supplied by ROC.
Any restrictions on returns for opened or unsealed goods will apply only where permitted by law.
Approved refunds will ordinarily be returned to the original payment method.
See our Refund Policy for when returns/refunds are accepted and how to request them.
7. Customer responsibilities
By purchasing research products from ROC, the customer is responsible for:
- reading the product information and applicable COA/batch information;
- ensuring that the proposed purchase and research activity are lawful;
- providing accurate order and delivery information;
- handling and storing products appropriately for legitimate research purposes;
- maintaining appropriate laboratory procedures and controls;
- preventing unauthorised access to research materials; and
- not using products contrary to their stated research-only purpose.
Customers must not rely upon ROC website content as medical or veterinary advice.
ROC does not provide individual medical recommendations, dosing protocols or treatment advice.
8. Privacy
ROC processes personal information in accordance with its separate Privacy Policy.
Personal information may be collected and processed where necessary to operate the website, process and fulfil orders, manage payments, provide customer support, prevent fraud, comply with legal obligations and, where a valid lawful basis exists, communicate with customers.
Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why it is processed, the lawful bases relied on, how long information is retained, who it may be shared with and the rights available to individuals.
Where non-essential cookies are used, they are set only in line with your cookie consent choices.
9. Website changes
ROC may update the website, product catalogue, product information and these Terms from time to time.
Changes to these Terms will be published on this page together with an updated revision date.
Terms applicable to an order will generally be those in force when that order is placed, subject to any mandatory legal requirements.
ROC may temporarily restrict or suspend website functionality for maintenance, security, technical or legal reasons.
While reasonable efforts are made to maintain website availability and accurate information, uninterrupted access cannot be guaranteed.
Nothing within these Terms is intended to exclude liability or customer rights where doing so would be unlawful.
